Michael Craine is one of the most sought after experts in the refinishing industry.  He has been featured in the American Painting Contractors magazine and is a wealth of knowledge with a heart to help.  When we were putting together these classes, he was top on our list of who we wanted to be an instructor.  On December 19, Michael is flying to Mechanicsburg, PA to do a beginner/intermediate class on cabinet refinishing at the IBU Headquarters.

We have seen a great need for breaking down instruction and teaching people proper habits that will yeild great results.  In this class, we will be touching on setting expectations, contracts, reading TDS, using mill gauge, prep, masking, spraying, common pitfalls and more!  Our seminars are going to be a good mix of both learning and then applying, so you will be able to take what you learn and implement immediately allowing you to have guided instruction and someone there answer questions as you go.  The goal is to help people develop skill mastery as you practice the skills because you were taught from the best.  

Due to limited space, we are going to only take the first 15 people who register.

All the sessions will be recorded and placed in a private FB Group for all class attendees to go back and reference as needed. You will also be able to ask questions as you apply the teaching in the group.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided. We will be going out to dinner after the seminar and you are welcome to join us if time permits.

Nick Slavik- Nick Slavik Painting & Restoration and host of "Ask A Painter Live"

Nick Slavik has worked to elevate the painting industry by sharing information and creating an environment for growth.  He hosts a weekly "Ask A Painter Live" sponsored by the PCA on his FB page where you ask questions and he answers using his two decades of experience as a craftsman, painter, restorationist and decorator.  He is a verteran of two wars, college educated in the fields of business, entrepreneurship, accounting and tax accounting. Nick does it all and we are thrilled to bring him in to share at our IBU Headquarters on Friday, November 6!   

​This class will cover some of Nick's greatest passions including apprenticeship, job costing, industry benchmarks, profit - all things he sees Craftspeople struggle with. Nick has a heart to elevate the industry and if you're looking to rise with the tide, come join us!​

Precision Pre-Press was sold in 1998 for 3 times its value.  In addition, Jim spent 11 years as a sales executive in the corporate world for companies like 3M and Kodak, 2 of the worlds largest coating companies.  His territory consisted of local territories, to a key Global Account Sales Manager covering the world’s 5 largest packaging companies.  Jim attended West Liberty University and currently resides in Cincinnati with his wife Cathy and 2 Sons.

We are so excited to have Mr. "Test Don't Guess" himself be a part of Inspired By U-niversity!! 
 On September 26th, Eric Reason is flying to Mechanicsburg, PA to do a Master Class on Cabinet Coatings at the Inspired By U Headquarters.

We're working on putting together a great class that will add value to refinishers and help grow your knowledge to get your customers the best results!  Some of the things Eric will be sharing include how to identify existing finishes and what products you should use with each to get the best results.  He will be going over different coatings and what he's learned through his vast testing and experience, including things to avoid.  Eric can teach on anything dealing with refinishing, and if you have suggestions as to specifics you'd like to learn just share them with us and we can add them into the class.  We want to serve people as best as we can, so your input will help!
